CYPRUS LEADERS TO MEET IN UNITED NATIONS PROTECTED AREA


Greek Cypriot leader Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Derviş Eroğlu will meet in the United Nations Protected Area of Nicosia at the Chief of Mission’s Residence on Monday 31, March 2014 at 11.30 a.m. If you wish to cover the event, please: 1. Bring a valid national media card and inform the UNFICYP Spokesperson's Office that you intend to come. You must provide relevant details (names, media, registration numbers of vehicles, etc.) by 13:00 p.m. Thursday 27, March 2014.
2. Gates will be open to the media from 10.00 a.m. on Monday 31, March 2014. The gates will be closed to the media from 11.00 a.m. to 11.45 a.m. and then re-opened.
3. Media are advised to limit the number of vehicles to the minimum possible and to park in the areas indicated by UNFICYP personnel. Sat vans and auxiliary vehicles will be allowed in the immediate vicinity of the meeting venue.
4. Please bring your own food; there are no facilities in the meeting area to sell or distribute food. NOTE: Media will be able to go the site of the talks without an escort. On entry to the UNPA for the leaders' meetings, all authorized media will be given a blue press pass to be displayed in the windscreen of the vehicle they will be travelling in. This will be returned on departure.
