The President of the Republic Mr Nicos
Anastasiades will pay an official visit to Egypt on 11 and 12 December.
The President will be accompanied by the
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Ioannis Kasoulides, the Minister of Energy,
Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Mr Yiorgos Lakkotrypis and government
officials.
During his stay in Cairo, the President
will have a private meeting with the President of Egypt, Mr Adly Mansour, and
later on they will hold expanded talks between the delegations of the two
countries.
President Anastasiades will also meet with
the Prime Minister of Egypt, Mr Hazem El-Bablawi.
Afterwards, bilateral agreements will be
signed in the presence of President Anastasiades and the Egyptian Prime
Minister.
Among the agreements to be signed are a
Framework Agreement between Cyprus and Egypt concerning the Development of
Cross-Median Line Hydrocarbon Resources, Air Services Agreements, and a
Memorandum of Understanding between the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and
Genetics and the Children’s Cancer Hospital of Egypt, on Cooperation in the
provision of Services, and on Research and Education in the field of Medical
and Biomedical Sciences.
