The
Committee for Human Rights of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania
to pay a two-day working visit to Cyprus
A delegation of the
Committee for Human Rights, Cults and National Minorities Issues of the Chamber
of Deputies of Romania arrives tomorrow, Monday, 23 June, in Cyprus for a
two-day working visit. The delegation comprises the Committee’s Vice-Chairpersons,
Mrs Tamara Dorina Ciofu and Mr Tudor Ciuhodaru, Secretary, Mr Ioan Sorin Roman and
Member, Mr Mircea Lubanovici. The will be accompanied by the Committee’s
Consultant, Mrs Marcela Monica Stoica.
The delegation will be received by the
President of the House of Representatives, Mr Yiannakis L. Omirou. The delegation
will also hold separate meetings with the President, Mr Sophoclis Fittis, and
Members of the Parliamentary Committee on Human
Rights and on Equal Opportunities for Men and Women, the President, Mr Sotiris
Sampson, and Members of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs and the
Vice-President, Mr Prodromos Prodromou, and members of the Parliamentary Committee
on Foreign and European Affairs.
Furthermore, the delegation
will hold separate meetings with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior,
Mr Constantinos Nicolaides, and Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of
Justice and Public Order, Mr Andreas Louka, the Commissioner for Children’s
Rights, Mrs Leda Koursoumba, and the Deputy Mayor of Famagusta Municipality, Mr
Simos Ioannou.
