The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the
monthly report “Intra-Extra E.U Trade Statistics (Summarised Data)” for February
2014.
The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:
(a)
Total imports/arrivals (covering total imports
from third countries and arrivals from other EU member states) in January-February 2014 amounted to €729,1mn
as compared to €803,2mn in January-February 2013. Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third
countries and dispatches to other EU member states) in January-February 2014
were €217,0mn compared to €226,0mn in January-February 2013. The trade deficit was
€512,1mn in January-February 2014 compared to €577,2mn in the corresponding
period of 2013.
(b)
During
February 2014 total imports/arrivals
(covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other
EU member states) valued at €331,4mn.
(c)
Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third
countries and dispatches to other EU member states), including stores and
provisions, in February 2014 amounted to €106,2mn. Εxports/dispatches
of domestically produced goods,
including
stores and provisions, were €58,3mn whilst exports/dispatches
of foreign goods,
including stores and provisions, were €47,9mn.

(Summarised Data)” for February 2014
