The President of the European Parliament, Mr Martin
Schulz, who is in Turkey for meetings with officials of the Turkish Government,
communicated by phone this afternoon with the President of the Republic, Mr
Nicos Anastasiades.
During their conversation, the President of the Republic
briefed Mr Schulz on the latest developments on the Cyprus problem and Mr
Schulz, on his part, briefed the President of the Republic on the content of his
meetings in Turkey with officials of the Turkish Government.
