Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment
pays
an official visit in Hungary
The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Mr Nicos Kouyialis, departs tomorrow for Budapest, where he will have a bilateral meeting with his Hungarian counterpart, Minister of Agriculture of Hungary, Dr. Sándor Fazekas. Issues of agricultural policy and Family Farming will be discussed during the meeting.
During his visit in Budapest, the Minister of Agriculture will attend an event organized by the Agriculture Minister of Hungary for the promotion of the Hungarian initiative for a Europe, free from Genetically Modified Organisms. The event will be held on Friday, in the presence of Ministers and Ambassadors of the EU member states and third countries.
Mr Kouyialis will then travel to Brussels, to participate in the EU Ministerial Council meeting for Agriculture.
The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment will return to Cyprus on Tuesday, 17 March.
