The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Ioannis
Kasoulides, departs today for Luxemburg
to participate in the deliberations of the Foreign Affairs Council of
the EU.
The Ministers’ discussions will focus, among others,
on developments regarding Ukraine, the
situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina, as well as various aspects of the Syria
crisis.
On Wednesday, 16 April, Mr Kasoulides departs for
Alicante, Spain, to take part in the first Informal Ministerial Meeting of
the Mediterranean Group (Med Group), which consists of seven Mediterranean EU
member states (Cyprus, Greece, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Malta.)
The Foreign Ministers of the Med Group will discuss,
inter alia, issues regarding the “Union for the Mediterranean”, migration in
relation to EU policies, as well as the developments in Southern Neighborhood
countries, with particular emphasis on Libya.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs will return to
Cyprus on Thursday, 17 April.
