The Acting President of the Republic,
President of the House of Representatives Mr Yiannakis L. Omirou departs today
at 7.30 p.m. for Johannesburg, South Africa, in order to represent the
President of the Republic Mr Nicos Anastasiades at the official events in
memory of Nelson Mandela.
On 10 December, Mr Omirou will attend a
state memorial service which will take place at the FNB Stadium in
Johannesburg. On 11 December, Mr Omirou will depart for Pretoria where Mandela
will lie in state at the Union Buildings.
Mr Omirou will return to Cyprus on 13
December at 10 a.m.
