The President of the House of Representatives
signed
the Book of Condolences for the victims of the tragic incident in
Mecca
The Acting President of the Republic, President of the House of
Representatives, Mr Yiannakis L. Omirou, signed today the Book of Condolences
opened at the at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in Nicosia, for
the victims of the tragic incident taken place in the Holy city of Mecca last
week costing the life of hundreds of pilgrims.
In his message, the President of the House of Representatives
wrote the following:
“On behalf of all Members of the House of Representatives of the
Republic of Cyprus and myself, I wish to express our deepest condolences and
sincere sympathy to the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the
bereaved families of the hundreds of Iranian pilgrims, who died or were injured
in the recent tragic incident during this year`s annual Hajj, in the Holy City
of Mecca. We share your deep sorrow and our thoughts are with you all at this
difficult time. We also wish rapid recovery to your wounded compatriots.”
