The Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with the Press and
Information Office (PIO) and the Cyprus Police, has proceeded with the necessary arrangements
to provide all possible facilities to the representatives of the media, who will
cover the military parade on the 1 st of October
2015.
A meeting was held today at the Ministry of Defence, during which
issues related to the parade were discussed. During the meeting a draw took
place for the positions that will be occupied by the broadcasters/media
representatives. The positions will be as follows:
Position 1: CyBC
Position 2: MEGA
Position 3: ANT1
Position 4: empty
Position 5: SIGMA
Position 6: empty
The following are also clarified, in order to achieve the best
possible coordination and to avoid any problems:
- There will be a specific platform for journalists, film crews and photographers, which is set up in an area across the VIP platform. For the broadcasters of the parade, as well as for the interested media representatives, there will be an area to the right of the VIP platform.
- Please note that only the journalists and the technical staff accredited by the Press and Information Office (PIO) and bearing a badge (white badge) will have free access to the parade site. (For relevant information, please contact the PIO at 22801196)
· The media representatives, who will cover the parade should take up
their positions by 10 a.m. After
this time, access to the parade venue will not be permitted for vehicles.
· The Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (RIK) will provide image and
sound to all television channels throughout the entire duration of the parade.

· Access to the site, where the President of the Republic will make
press statements following the military parade, will be granted to the media
representatives bearing a green badge, allocated to them by the PIO. It is noted
that a special audio console will be located in front of the President’s podium.
The media representatives may cover the President’s statements with the use of
relative equipment, if they so wish.
· Access to the parade venue via vehicle is only granted to those
individuals, who have a blue card on their vehicle windscreen, allocated to them
by the PIO.
