The President of the
Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, arrived this morning in Sri Lanka, where he
will take part in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) which
begins tomorrow and ends on November 17.
During the Meeting, the
President of the Republic will intervene on issues regarding, among others, the
climatic changes, international trade, and the promotion of the fundamental
political values of the Commonwealth.
The President of the
Republic is accompanied in Sri Lanka by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr
Ioannis Kasoulides and the Director of the Diplomatic Office of the President
Mr Nicos Christodoulides.
