The President
of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, will meet today with the Crown Prince
of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with whom he will hold
official talks.
The President,
accompanied by the members of the Cypriot delegation, will arrive at the
Mushrif Palace this morning, where an official ceremony will take place,
followed by expanded talks between the two delegations. Later on a bilateral
agreement on air services will be signed as well as Memoranda of Understanding in
the areas of energy, tourism, education and science.
The Crown
Prince will host an official lunch in honour of President
Anastasiades. Earlier, the President will meet with the Director General of the
Arab Monetary Fund, Dr Abdulrahman Al Hamidy, and afterwards he will meet with
the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Mubadala Development Company, Mr
Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak.
In the
afternoon, President Anastasiades will meet with the Managing Director of the
Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (AIDA), Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which
will be followed by his meeting with the Director General of the renewable
sources company IRENA, Mr Adnan Amin.
The Cypriot
delegation includes the Minister of Finance, Mr Harris Georgiades, the
Minister of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Mr Yiorgos Lakkotrypis, the
Deputy Minister to the President, Mr Constantinos Petrides, the Permanent
Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr Alexandros Zenon and the
Acting Government Spokesman and Director of the Diplomatic Office of the
President, Mr Nicos Christodoulides.
